Accessibility Statement

Accessibility Statement

CaringLife is committed to making its website and digital services accessible to as many people as possible.

We want everyone who visits CaringLife to be able to find information, understand our content and use our services, regardless of technology, ability or individual accessibility needs.

Our approach to accessibility

We aim to design and maintain our website in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.

These internationally recognised guidelines explain how digital content can be made more accessible for people with disabilities, including people with visual, hearing, physical, speech, cognitive and neurological disabilities.

We aim to make our website:

  • ◆easy to navigate using a keyboard
  • ◆compatible with commonly used screen readers and assistive technologies
  • ◆readable when text is enlarged or the page is zoomed
  • ◆structured with clear headings and meaningful content
  • ◆easy to understand, with clear language wherever possible
  • ◆usable across different screen sizes and devices
  • ◆designed with appropriate colour contrast and visible interactive elements

How accessible is the CaringLife website?

We are continually reviewing and improving the accessibility of the CaringLife website.

Our goal is to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across our website. As part of this work, we review the structure, content, navigation, colour contrast, images, links, forms and other interactive elements that people use to access information about CaringLife.

Where we identify an accessibility issue, we aim to address it as part of our ongoing website development and improvement.

Documents and downloadable content

Some areas of the CaringLife website may contain downloadable documents, including PDF resources and guides.

We aim to make new documents accessible wherever reasonably possible. If you have difficulty accessing a document or resource, please contact us and we will work with you to provide the information in a more suitable format.

Using CaringLife with assistive technology

We want CaringLife to work with commonly used browsers, devices and assistive technologies.

Depending on your browser and device settings, you should be able to adjust features such as text size, page zoom, colour and contrast. You may also be able to navigate the website using a keyboard, screen reader, voice recognition software or other assistive technology.

Feedback and accessibility support

Accessibility is an ongoing process, and we welcome feedback from people using CaringLife.

If you experience an accessibility problem, find content difficult to use, or need information provided in another format, please contact us.

When contacting us, it is helpful if you can tell us:

  • ◆the page or area you were trying to access
  • ◆what problem you experienced
  • ◆the browser or device you were using, if known
  • ◆any alternative format or assistance you require
